Cir*Kis Game - Review and Giveaway-CLOSED

Over the last 14 years we have established ourselves as a leading maker of new and classic board games, card games, and Rubik's® puzzles. Not only do we strive to bring you new games with exciting play but we also spend many hours researching the archives to find classic gems that still appeal to today's game-loving families. In our New 2009 Games section you'll find classics like Risk® 1959 and Go To The Head Of The Class® as well as new twists on classics like Big PayDay®, Scattergories®: The Card Game and brand new games like King Me™ and USA TODAY® Puzzlers. Winning Moves is the name for great games! (from Winning Moves)

CirKis is the newest, and best, piece-placing Winning Moves game designed by Phil E. Orbanes. You'll score by completing circles and stars on the eye-catching game board. Plan ahead and you could earn a free turn to place another piece and score big!

When we received our CirKis game and first sat down to play, I had to laugh. The game is geared to age 8 and up, but the box contained a circular playing board, and four sets of plastic pieces (each set contains various slices, wedges, slivers, etc. and a scoring peg) and looked so simple. So we pull the board out, open three sets of pieces, and begin play. Not as easy as it looked. Cir*Kis is one of those deceptive games that are a lot more challenging then they appear. While not difficult (I definitely feel the age range is right on, and even a 6 or 7 year old could easily jump in with some assistance), it definitely takes strategy and planning.

We had a lot of fun with this game, teasing and egging each other on. One of my New Year goals is to spend more time together as a family, and I feel Cir*Kis will be a great addition to our weekly game night. It's fun, fairly easy yet engages your interest and presents a challenge. Our game took just under 30 minutes, which is perfect - long enough to connect, but not so long you're getting edgy.

Cir*Kis - "The Captivating Game of Circles and Stars" is geared for ages 8 and up, 2 - 4 players, and play time is 15 - 45 minutes. I love that the game board has storage compartments for all the pieces, keeping everything neat. Scoring is super easy with the included peg.
