Scentsy - Review and Giveaway - CLOSED

I love scented candles, how they make the whole house smell fresh and clean and a make a room glow. But I don't light them very often as I have a cat and a dog who love to sniff anything that smells good and I'm afraid they'll knock it over; or worse, I'll forget to blow it out before I rush out the door.

Scentsy warmers are ceramic warmers that give you the warm glow and wonderful scent of a lit candle without the worry of the flame, and no soot or smoke. They plug in, and a 20 (mid-size warmer) or 25 (full size warmer) watt bulb melts the wax, infusing the whole room with fragrance. Scentsy bars are available in two styles - Scentsy Bars, specially designed wickless candles with convenient break apart sections; and Fragrance Bricks, an economical one pound brick. They have more than 80 scents to choose from, from bakery scents to seasonal favorites and lots of others. Warmers are available in a style for every taste and every decor, and in two sizes, mid and full. You can also design your own with DIY Warmers and DIY theme packs - rub on transfers allow you to change the look of your warmer as often as you like. Scentsy also offers plug-in warmers, sized to fit into small spaces and have a detachable base so you can add and change fragrances quickly and easily.

I received the Hatteras Mid Size Warmer, and Twilight Scentsy Bar (A lovely, sophisticated scent, infused with soft romantic florals and ocean air) from the Romance collection, and quickly fell in love with Scentsy! The warmer is gorgeous, and the fragrance is wonderfully light and warm. The Scentsy Bar is easy to use - you just break a piece off and add to the top of your warmer and plug it in (it reminds me of a super size Hershey bar, and is as easy to snap apart :). I love that the bars are economical - melted wax can be poured back into the storage tray and reused!

I also received a car candle in Mineral Springs and a room spray in Thunderstorm. I love the car candle - my van smells fresh, and it's not overpowering. The room spray is also fantastic - I love how one spray can make a whole room smell wonderful.

1. When did you start with Scentsy?
I started with Scentsy in October 2009.

2. What drew you to Scentsy?
A lot of things drew me to Scentsy. Initially it was the fact that I got a warmer for my birthday and when I ran out of wax I wasn't quite sure where I could get more. I had no idea you can buy online and have it ship right to you. I was drawn to Scentsy by their amazing, high-quality products. There are a lot of knock-offs out there, but nothing comes close to authentic Scentsy products. People love these products. All it takes is one try and you WILL be hooked! I also like the fact that Scentsy is a company that gives back. In October 2009 Scentsy ran a campaign to get people to contribute to small businesses and help boost the economy. Scentsy also recently established the Scentsy Family Foundation which provides scholarships to family members of Scentsy, Inc. employees and consultants. The foundation will also provide for the raising of funds for charities by featuring a special Charitable Cause Warmer in each catalog that comes out. 100% of the net profit from the sales of these warmers will be given to the charity. The first Charitable Cause Warmer will debut in the Spring/Summer 2010 Catalog which will come out in March. They will also donate directly to different causes. 4. Favorite Scentsy Scent(s)?
There are SO many amazing scents, but my most favorite ones right now are Cranberry Spice, Black Raspberry Vanilla and Coconut Citrus Parfait.

5. Funniest Scentsy Story?
My husband, Ben, had a Scentsy Room Spray in his office at work. It was Hemingway scent from the Scentsy Man Collection. My husband's boss, Steve, came in and saw it and asked Ben and his co-worker what it smelled like. They said, "Your mom!" and started laughing. So Steve just started spraying it so he could smell it. The problem is that the room sprays are really strong and you really only need one spray and it will last for quite a while, well Steve sprayed it about 5 times and the nozzle was pointing straight up when he did it, not out, so all the mist fell right on top of him. He smelled of Hemingway for the rest of the day. Steve never wears cologne to work so everyone noticed it and told him that he really over-did it on the cologne.
