The #1 Selling Medicated, Vitamin-Enriched Skin Care Cream in Japan - Since 1957.Invented by Japanese pharmacist Yoshikiyo Nowatari in 1957, Yu-Be (pronounced "YOO-BEE") is a Glycerin-based moisturizing cream enriched with Vitamin E, Vitamin B2 and Camphor. It's the uniquely high Glycerin content and absorbability, achieved through a special manufacturing process in Japan, which makes Yu-Be so effective on severe dry skin and truly sets it apart from other creams. (from website).
When I stumbled on Yu-Be, and saw "effective on severe dry skin", I couldn't wait to try it! Iowa winters a
re killer, and this one is breaking records for cold and snowfall, and my hands are paying the price - dry, itchy, cracked, and raw. I can't say the rest of my skin is in much better shape, either. I had the chance to try each of Yu-Be's products, and am amazed at how well they worked.Moisturizing Skin Cream: A concentrated glycerin moisturizer that helps to hydrate, heal, soothe and smooth severe dry skin. Use to help treat and prevent split cuticles, reduces tough calluses, replenishes lost moisture and soothes and reduces s
ymptoms associated with rashes, eczema and dermatitis. This was my favorite - instant moisture with no stinging, non-greasy, and the moisture lasted for hours before I had to reapply. It did have a strong camphor scent, but that disappeared quickly :)Moisturizing Body Lotion: Smooth, easy to apply glycerin lotion helps hydrate, smooth and sooth dry, sensitive skin. Moisturizes and protects during cold winter months. I loved this one for my legs and arms - lighter than the skin cream, it did a wonderful job of moisturizing. Plus, both
the lotion and skin cream stop that itchy feeling you get from dry skin :) This one also had a strong camphor scent that disappeared quickly. A little goes a long way, and it lasted for several hours before needing reapplied.Foaming Skin Polish: Fine grains of rice bran with bamboo create a foaming scrub that washes away dry skin. This one had a wonderful, light scent and did foam nicely, though not as much as a traditional body soap. I really liked how well this worked! Less irritating than sugar and salt scrubs I've tried before, and excellent at exfoliating.

Lip Therapy: Soothes, moisturizes and protects. This is one of the best moisturizing lip balms I've used, and is now in my purse for easy access :) It also contains camphor, but doesn't have a strong scent at all. It's rich, creamy, and helps heals dry lips.

ReplyDeleteWorld-class mountain climber and explorer Sumiyo Tsuzuki uses Yu-Be to protect her skin on expeditions all over the world. Ms. Tsuzuki was the first Japanese woman to ever summit Mt. Everest from the more difficult "Northern Ridge" (the China/Tibet side). She also appears in the I-MAX documentary film "EVEREST". Wearing a 1.25 oz. tube taped to a shoelace around her neck, she used Yu-Be to moisturize and protect her skin from the harsh elements of cold, wind and water on the world's tallest peak. ReplyDeleteYu-Be was invented in 1957 by a pharmicist for a woman who wanted no petroleum based skin care. I like that they do not use petroleum, which is unhealthy, but glycerin which draws moisture.
