OKA b. began with two basic styles - a slip-on slide sandal and thong (flip-flop). By integrating the principals of reflexology through a massaging foot bed, OKA b. shoes bring comfort to feet with each step. The proprietary Microplast® process creates a material that cushions feet while remaining antimicrobial, waterproof and washable. These features made OKA b. shoes popular in upscale resorts, spas and hotels around the world. It didn’t take long for guests to fall in love with their shoes, and express their desire to bring the spa experience home with them.
Today OKA b. adapts runway trends and fashion accents to their popular slides and thongs to create a complete collection of shoes that pamper feet on the go – from a morning at work, to an afternoon at the beach, and even to a night on the town. From sleek and stylish mid-heel thongs and slides to modern ballet-style flats, OKA b.’s collection continues to grow as customers around the world fall in love with the unique concept of OKA b. footwear. I LOVE shoes, and I have, well, I'm not admitting to how many pairs I have in my closet :) Unfortunately, a lot of my super cute pairs don't get worn very often as they're not very comfy. When I stumbled On OKAb, Shoes That Love You, I was super excited - uber cute, and claiming to be super comfortable, I couldn't wait to try them! I received a pair of "Lucy" in Slate w/ large seashell beaded chrysanthemum, and the first thing I noticed (besides how cute they were!) was how different they felt- OKAb shoes are made with Microplast Technology (they feel super flexible) that provides a lightweight, flexible shoe that remains comfortable and durable. I especially loved that these weren't flat like a typical flip flop, but had the slightest heel, not enough to trip on, but enough to make them dressier then others.
I slipped them on, and was impressed with how nicely they fit (they do seem to run a bit small, so if you're close to the higher end of the size, consider ordering up a size). After admiring the intricate seashell chrysanthemum on the thong, I decided to give them a run and took Phoenix, our puggle, for his nightly walk. For the first two blocks, that annoying song I'm Gonna Be by the Proclaimers kept running through my head (But i would walk five hundred miles, And i would walk five hundred more) - Ok, I know, dork alert :) , but they are really that comfy! With reflexology inspired design, all of OKAb shoes feature an ergonomic footbed enhanced with massage beads. They're also antimicrobial, odor resistant, non-slip and non-marking and feature one piece construction. They're even machine washable and colorfast, making them the perfect, slip 'em on and forget 'em, summer shoe :) They stayed on nicely, and will definitely be my go to pair for when I'm going to be on my feet for awhile.
OKAb shoes are available in sandals, heels, thongs and slides, and range from casual to dressy for women, girls and men and even offer a bridal collection so you can walk down the aisle in comfort :) Their website is super easy to navigate by selecting from the various options on the left hand side of their home page.
