I've been considering a single cup coffee maker for a while, but was unsure if they were really worth the cost. Plus, the machines I compared were huge, counter eating monsters, and space is limited in my kitchen.
When I was offered the chance to review Tassimo, I was excited. When I heard it would be for their newest brewer, the Tassimo T20, a smaller, more compact version of the T65, I was ecstatic! This amazing little machine makes over 40 varieties of hot and cold beverages including cappuccinos, tea, coffee and more in under 60 seconds!

I'm definitely impressed with the size of the machine. While the water reservoir is large enough to run multiple cups (1.5 L), the machine is really quite small, and doesn't take up much more room than my large 12+ cup coffee pot, so I still have plenty of prep space on my counters. My Tassimo came with two varieties of T Discs - Gevalia Signature Blend Coffee and Starbucks Cappuccino Primo. My daughter is in LOVE with the cappuccino! I really like it myself, and love how you first brew the milk creamer T Disc, and then the coffee T Disc - it looks as rich and wonderful as it tastes! And Tassimo knows how to brew each variety perfectly! Through patented technology, Tassimo reads the bar code printed on each T Disc to ensure perfect brewing, including exact water amount and temperature, for each variety :) I also received a Lime Green Brewer Kit, an easy to switch out accessory that allows me to customize my Tassimo.

After using my machine for a while, I'm grateful I will have this on hand for the holidays. Every year, I have the same issue - I love to serve a variety of hot beverages to my guests and it's a pain to make such a variety (strong coffee for some of us, milder coffee for others, hot cocoa for the little kids, cappuccinos, etc), and it really adds up - especially when you add in the half dozen flavored creamers I keep on hand to make sure I have something for everyone. With the Tassimo, I'll just have an assortment of T Discs on hand, creamer and marshmallows on the side :)
